In 2010 URBEATZ starting working with Liverpool Grime Collective, Grime Fam on an EP project. The first single off the project is ‘Let It Be’, which is a remake of the classic Beatles’ track and was produced by their in house producer Rugrat.
On ‘Let It Be’ the guys stick to the message of hope that is evident in the original as they whip through stories of woe, despair and strength with a refreshingly national and international perspective. The track is sparked even further with the inclusion of one of the City’s best vocalists, Esco Williams. This may not be everybody’s cup of tea but the homage is poignant and apt – the fact that the guys came correct with both lyrics and video is something that surely has to be respected!
